PLAY FENCING
If you are planning on designing a play area there are a number of worthwhile considerations i.e. correct area, child friendly design, durability.
Playground fencing is available in two designs, Playground Bow Top and Playground Flat Top. We can supply only or supply and erect.
Playground fencing meets the requirements of BS EN 1176. The gaps between the railings do not exceed 89mm and there is no potential for neck entrapment.
The standard specification has a 12mm diameter infill and the heavy-duty specification has a 16mm diameter infill.
Playground is available in standard panels set at 2800mm centres or can be manufactured in non-standard lengths. Raked or radiused panels are available to suit individual requirements.
Playground is supplied either hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 or galvanised and polyester powder coated in a range of colours.
Playground fencing gates are also available including our Hydraulic self-closing gate.
Hydraulic self-closing gate is manufactured to comply with BS EN 1176 for playground equipment, making it free from finger traps, crush points and shear actions that could cause injury.
This hydraulic gate has a built-in, dual-action hydraulic unit, which is fully shielded to prevent vandalism. This mechanism makes this gate virtually impossible to slam shut and prevents it from bouncing back when pushed hard.
It has an anti-trap mechanism and cannot swing beyond its stop point. The gate is adjustable and can be set to conform with ROSPAs recommendations.
